| Central Fire District: teenagers from 14-18 who are mature and determined with a 2.0 minimum GPA and live within the district's boundaries may want to apply to be a Central Fire District Explorer. The district encompasses 7th Avenue and the yacht harbor area to Cabrillo College. The kids will have hands-on training in all aspects of fire service, including riding with firefighters on shift, responding to calls and assisting fire crews with their daily activities. Applications are available at the district's administration office at 930 17th Avenue in Live Oak. 479-6824 |
