The Sesquicentennial Celebration
took place on
Sunday, September 29, 2002
from
noon until 5 pm on Porter Street in downtown Soquel.

It was a great success! There were thousands of happy attendees and the music was wonderful...thanks to our many volunteers.

The festivities included a barbeque at Soquel Elementary School on Porter Street, tours of the Daubenbiss House and Porter Memorial Library, merchant booths and bluegrass music and a brass band. Historical displays were on hand, as well as tours and music at the Congregational Church on Soquel Drive, and an antique car show. Children enjoyed the games.
