Nature's Apprentice is an outdoor educational program designed to help young children explore and embrace the natural world. Children enjoy a weekly outdoor adventure which includes nature focused activities such as hiking, games, stories, and art. In addition to our structured activities, we include plenty of time to smell the flowers, feel the moss, and watch the birds. Classes meet weekly, using the local woods, meadows, streams and beaches of Santa Cruz as our outdoor classroom. Nature's Apprentice outdoor classes give kids the opportunity to explore the natural habitats surrounding Santa Cruz. For kids ages 2-5 years http://natureapprentice.com/

Outdoor Science Exploration is a fun-filled educational program with an emphasis on physics, geology, chemistry and biology. This program is available to children during the summer as a summer camp in a different location every day. See Summer Programs. There is also a backpacking trip every summer to the Sierra Nevada. During the school year, Diane Cornell and Irvin Lindsey will challenge your youngsters in their classrooms with special programs to supplement any school curriculum.
