Outdoor Science Exploration and Yosemite Backpacking Camp

ages 7-14, This unusual program of advanced sciences is taught by Irvin Lindsey, a gifted master teacher, in a fun and effective way. Choose by weeks or days. 10am-4pm. Have FUN with PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY! Outdoor learning makes kids smarter. Science test scores went up 27% when students were taught outside. High quality "green exercise" improves memory, relieves stress and builds social skills. We do experiments from our Classroom Science Fun school programs and explore nature with hands-on active learning.

Focus:  Tools for Environmental Stewardship, Community Development, and Social Justice
A ton of fun, connection, and growth awaits your child at this day camp for children aged 5-12 at the Inner Light Center. With a balance of structure and free time, games, art, science, gardening, field trips, and more, children gain creative tools for self care, spiritual growth, healthy connection, environmental stewardship, and vital community.  All activities, organic snacks, an organic cotton camp t-shirt, and a camp photo are included in your fees.

 Tara Redwood Summer Camp 

In an extraordinary setting in the redwoods, summer at Tara is not only fun, but healthy, peaceful and inspiring. A values-based program for ages 3 - 11 with low camper group ratios. At summer camp your child will make new friends, learn a new skill, develop mindfulness, enjoy positive role models and help others. Hours for Redwood Camp (ages 3-5) 9:00am - 3:00pm, After Camp Care: 3:00 - 5:00pm. Hours for Village Camp (ages 5-11) 8:30am 4:30pm. Some of the activities for the younger kids will include - tumbling tutor classes, gardening at the Life Lab and creative arts; for the older children we have creative art classes, computer design/animation, Lego robotics and more. We will also offer great offsite adventures and weekly trips to various state parks, museums and the beach.
