Asian Art Museum in San Francisco
Included are over 18,000 objects ranging from tiny jades to monumental sculptures. Superb paintings, porcelains, arms and armor, furniture, textiles, and bronzes are featured. Many of the finest objects in the museum’s collection were donated by Chicago industrialist Avery Brundage in the 1960s. His generosity served as the impetus for the museum’s founding, and brought to San Francisco many celebrated art works such as a gilded bronze Buddha image dated 338—the oldest known dated Chinese Buddha in the world. 200 Larkin St., San Francisco. 415-581-3500. www.asianart.org

Community Access Tickets - Social service agencies and nonprofit groups that serve disadvantaged communities, schools and youth groups can enjoy access to the museum via our Community Access Fund.
To apply for these tickets, please email email@example.com at least two weeks before your proposed visit date. Include an attachment on your organization’s letterhead stating the number of tickets required and the proposed date.
As one of the largest college galleries in the Monterey Bay Area the Cabrillo Gallery hosts 6 exhibitions annually. Public tours of exhibitions are offered Tuesday–Sunday at 1 and 2:30PM. All visitors are welcome to drop in on these tours, which meet in the Museum lobby. To arrange a special time for an adult group tour of six or more, please call 408.291.5393 at least three weeks in advance.
In addition to joining free docent-led tours, you are invited to participate in art-making activities in the galleries. We have paper and pencils and clipboards available for your use. Just ask about these supplies at the SJMA Admission Desk, and visit the Learn section for more information about in-gallery learning activities.
Wheelchairs and strollers are available free of charge.
